First Webinar of the Beyond The Screen Project
Are you confident in your ability to adapt in digital environments? Do you feel motivated when learning online?
These were some of the questions explored during the first webinar of the Beyond the Screen Project, which brought together individuals interested in strengthening their resilience in e-learning environments.
During the webinar participants had the opportunity to learn about the challenges of online learning and the importance of digital readiness. Through the webinar, participants explored effective ways and practical strategies needed to succeed in digital learning environments and improve their online learning practices.
At the end of the session, participants had the chance to test the project’s assessment tool, which evaluates individuals’ motivation, confidence and willingness in learning online. The results encouraged self-reflection, while also providing valuable information about participants’ online larning behaviours.

Second Webinar of the Beyond The Screen Project
Are you looking for ways to reignite your passion and engagement in online teaching? How can storytelling transform your digital classroom experience?
These were the central themes of the second webinar of the Beyond the Screen Project, which gathered educators, trainers, and adult learning professionals from across Europe for a dynamic and creative online session. Titled “Beyond the Screen: Staying Motivated as an Online Educator,” the event delved into the emotional and practical challenges of teaching in digital environments.
Participants explored common obstacles such as low learner engagement, screen fatigue, and digital overload, while discovering innovative tools like vidcasts—short, relatable video stories—and comic strips, which simplify complex teaching situations into engaging, memorable narratives.
A highlight of the session was an interactive Mentimeter activity, where attendees shared their most demotivating online teaching experiences in just three words. Themes like black screens, silent learners, and technical difficulties emerged, underscoring the shared struggles of digital education. Ironically, a technical issue with breakout rooms turned into a live case study, reinforcing the very challenges the project aims to address. Rather than derailing the session, this moment became an opportunity for collective problem-solving, keeping participants highly engaged.
The insights gathered will now shape the upcoming Learning, Teaching and Training Activity (LTTA) in Cyprus, where these ideas will be further developed into final project resources.
